What Ive Learned in 07

This blog was inspired by my boss and his mentor.. I decided to make my own little list of things that I learned and what I hope to do with the information.. Read closely you might learn something..

1.) In life nothing matters except your connections and your ability to network.. You have to be able to sell yourself and truly believe that...

2.) The talent will only take you so far... Hard work is soooo necessary.. You have to be willing to do it all and so much more if you expect to be anyone.. You need to be able to juggle the world and pick up every ones slack at the same time to be noticed..

3.) Don't trust anyone.. on any level.. you have to realize that the world is anarchic and that is from the highest to lowest level of society.. everyone is out for self and you need to be there too..

4.) If you are true to self and live your life in a way that you are honest with yourself then you can go as far as life will take you.. You wont get anywhere stepping on people.. Your conscious will always catch up with you even if you don't think so...

5.) Remember Karma is a bitch and she doesn't care what your excuse is..

6.) Separate money and family.. like biggie says "money and blood don't mix like two dicks"

7.) Surround yourself with people that will elevate you.. if the people around you ain't shit then most likely you ain't shit.. no offense.. but if you like progress you like like those who progress

8.) Learn everything.. Don't be a master at one thing be functional at many things.. Make yourself necessary.. The way this economy is you need to be able to be in a place where you don't need to explain your position or your worth..

9.) Everyone starts at the bottom but how long you stay at the bottom is what defines you.. Im not saying you should be a mail room dude then puff.. but show that you have ambition.. that you want to grown and are willing to do whatever possible to be the best..

10.) Keep your mouth shut and listen.. you don't have to prove anything with speech... do it in actions.. do it in silence.. the stupid people will speak loud enough.. the smart ones will only speak enough..if you're quiet you might learn something

11.) Just nod your head and agree.. Is this hot? sure why not.. am i fat? sure why not.. People ask questions for approval.. give it to them... most people know the answer to their vanity questions.. and just want you to be a yes man.. do so with those that don't matter it'll save you some breath

12.) Don't believe the hype.. the friends you make as a child that last the tests of time, space, growth, and maturity... are the friendships that will last forever.. they may not be the closest but they are your realist..

13.) Just because shes "bad" doesn't mean shes right.. you need the right combination to make something work.. the baddest ones.. are the ones who have it all..

14.) Continue to build for self don't rely on people outside of your life for advice.. people usually give you advice based on their situation and place in life.. you wouldn't seek advice on dating from someone who never dated would you.. so why seek career advice from someone who never worked in your industry and so on..

15.) Always look for ways to diversify yourself.. such as if you are into getting your brand out make dvds... get down with an up and coming clothing line.. and so on.. get your name out and keep it out... like 50 said "id show you my dick to sell some records"(paraphrase)

16.) Start a revolution.. even if its one in your mind and only affects you and the fam.. be part of something big.. create something that will change history.. even if its your own history...
